3-Day Kalimpong Package Tour
  • Day 01 Arrival and transfer to Kalimpong through Teesta Valley with evening at leisure.

Your Kalimpong tour package begins with arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. After the meet-and-greet, board your vehicle and start the drive toward Kalimpong. The route passes through Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, where dense forest stretches on both sides of the road. While sightings are not guaranteed, travellers often notice birdlife and occasional wildlife movements in the green corridors.

As the road opens at Sevoke, the Teesta River becomes visible, flowing from the higher Himalayas into the plains of North Bengal. The drive continues alongside the river’s green waters until Chitrey. Here, the road turns sharply and begins a gradual ascent toward Kalimpong, offering clear views of valleys and terraced settlements.

On arrival in Kalimpong, check into your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure. You may spend time at the local market area, try local snacks, or relax at the hotel after the journey. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

  • Day 02 Explore Mangal Dham, Deolo Hill, Dr Graham’s Home, Durpin Monastery and nurseries.
Day 2 Activity : Durpin DaraDeolo View Point

After breakfast, begin your full-day Kalimpong sightseeing tour.

Your first stop is Mangal Dham, a peaceful temple complex dedicated to Guru Mangal Dasji. The spacious prayer hall and landscaped surroundings make it one of the important religious landmarks of Kalimpong.

Proceed to Deolo Hills, the highest point in the town. It offers a wide view of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and the Kanchenjunga range on clear days. The Deolo grounds are open and suitable for relaxed walks or photography.

Next visit Dr. Graham’s Home, an educational institution founded in the early 1900s by Dr. John Anderson Graham. The campus features old British-era buildings and a self-contained residential school environment. It is one of Kalimpong’s most visited heritage centres.

Continue to the Army Golf Course, a well-maintained green space situated amid the hills. While entry may be restricted depending on the day, the surroundings are pleasant and scenic.

Head to Durpin Dara Hill, one of Kalimpong’s major viewpoints. From here, you can see the town, the surrounding valleys, and distant peaks. The nearby Durpin Monastery (Zang Dhok Palri Monastery) houses sacred Buddhist texts and serves as an important spiritual centre in the region.

End your sightseeing with a visit to Kalimpong’s well-known flower nurseries. The town is a major centre for the cultivation of orchids, cacti and seasonal flowers, and the nurseries are popular for plant lovers and photographers.

Return to the hotel by evening. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

  • Day 03 Checkout and transfer from Kalimpong to NJP/Bagdogra for onward travel.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Your vehicle will transfer you back to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. The route follows the same Teesta Valley road, completing your 2N/3D Kalimpong tour itinerary. Carry back a mix of cultural, scenic and historic experiences from the hill town.
