This tour takes you across the Darjeeling hills, you start the tour at the westernmost part of Darjeeling district and cross over to Kalimpong district. Your last night is at Loleygaon, which is in the eastern part of the Kalimpong district. In 7 days you visit destinations that is a mix of common tourist places and some lesser-known destinations.
Best time to visit
This tour can be organized throughout the year. The summer months and festival season is the high season. The cost of travel is more during these months. Monsoon is the low season here. You can get a good discount from us if you are travelling in July or August.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Reception at Siliguri (NJP/Bagdogra) and drive to Mirik (4900 ft, 52Kms) through the winding ghat roads cutting across the tea gardens on the rolling slopes. Transfer to hotel. Enjoy a quiet evening boating at Lake Sumendu encircled by forested hills, or have a leisure walk on the forest trails around the lake. Stay overnight at Mirik.
Day 2
Stroll around Lake Samendu in the morning. You can go boating on the lake, take a horse ride or simply walk around. Drive to Darjeeling after lunch (50Kms. 6700 ft). On the way stop at the Indo-Nepal border at Pashupati market and also at Simana viewpoint. At both places, you can walk across the open border to Nepal and back. After reaching Darjeeling, check into the hotel. You have a free evening which you can spend leisurely walking around town or visiting Darjeeling mall. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 3
Early morning trip to Tiger Hill (8500 ft) for a breathtaking view of Sunrise over the Kanchenjunga on a clear day. Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back. Back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visits popular Darjeeling sightseeing places such as Darjeeling Zoo, HMI, Takvar Valley Teagarden, Gombu Rock, Ropeway, etc. Back to the hotel for lunch. Evening free at leisure, you may visit the local market of Darjeeling or walk to the Mahakal temple and nearby Kanchenjunga viewpoint. Stay at Darjeeling.
Day 4
Morning drive to Kalimpong (4100 ft, 55Kms.) via Tista Bazaar. The road passes along the Rangit River and through some of the most picturesque places in the area. Transfer to the hotel at Kalimpong. Afternoon free at your disposal, you may visit Kalimpong market which is a treasure-house of traditional handicrafts of the hill people. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
Day 5
Today we will visit the important sightseeing places of Kalimpong before moving on to Rishyap. We will visit the famous orchid nurseries of Kalimpong, we will go to Durpin Dara viewpoint, Zang Dhok Palri Monastery, Delo top viewpoint, etc. and move to Rishyap (8500 ft, 30Kms) after lunch. Overnight at Rishyap.
Day 6
Enjoy the local sights of Rishyap in the morning, after breakfast starts for Loleygaon (5500 ft, 24 Kms), another hidden picturesque hamlet in the Kalimpong hills. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to the adjacent Heritage forest for a unique canopy walk over the huge Oak and Pine trees. Spend a leisurely evening on your balcony watching the magnificent night view of Kalimpong town on the distant hill. Overnight Halt: Loleygaon.
Day 7
Early morning visit to Jhandidara (3 Kms) for a never to forget Sunrise over the Kanchenjunga. On a clear day, even Mt. Everest is visible from the watchtower of Jhandidara. After breakfast, we start for Bagdogra / NJP (135 km) through Dooars forests and tea gardens. Tour ends after we drop you at Bagdogra / NJP.
