Discover the charm of Darjeeling before continuing to the quieter hills of Kalimpong. Enjoy famous viewpoints, tea gardens, monasteries and lively local markets on a four-night Himalayan holiday with scenic drives between the destinations

Day 01 Arrival at Bagdogra or NJP and transfer to Darjeeling

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and meet our representative for the drive to Darjeeling. The route winds through green foothills and tea-growing areas before reaching the hill town. After checking in at the hotel, spend the rest of the day relaxing. If time permits, take a walk around Chowrasta and Mall Road to enjoy the local atmosphere.
Day 02 Tiger Hill sunrise and Darjeeling sightseeing

Start early for Tiger Hill to enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayan range when weather conditions are clear. On the return journey, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast, continue to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, subject to opening hours. Return to the hotel after sightseeing and enjoy a relaxed evening around the Mall area.
Day 03 Tea gardens and the heritage of Darjeeling

After breakfast, explore more of Darjeeling at a comfortable pace. Visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda and take in the views from suitable local viewpoints. Depending on the season and access arrangements, you may also visit a tea garden to learn about the region's famous tea production. Keep the latter part of the day free for shopping and enjoying the cafes and markets around Chowrasta.
Day 04 Darjeeling to Kalimpong and local sightseeing

After breakfast, check out and drive to Kalimpong. The journey takes several hours, depending on traffic and road conditions and offers changing views of the surrounding hills and valleys. On arrival, visit Deolo Hill for panoramic views if the weather is clear. Continue to a local monastery or the town market depending on the time available. Check in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
Day 05 Kalimpong to Bagdogra or NJP for departure

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. If the departure schedule allows, visit Durpin Hill or Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery before leaving Kalimpong. The final stop will depend on available time and road conditions. Continue to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
