Travel from Gangtok into the spectacular mountains of North Sikkim and discover Lachung and Yumthang Valley. The itinerary includes overnight stays in Gangtok before and after the North Sikkim excursion for a practical journey from Bagdogra

Day 01 Arrival at Bagdogra or NJP and transfer to Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and meet our representative for the drive to Gangtok. The route follows the Teesta River through the Himalayan foothills. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax after the journey. The evening is free to explore MG Marg if time permits. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 02 Gangtok to Lachung through the mountains

After an early breakfast, check out and begin the journey to Lachung. The drive passes through mountain valleys and forested landscapes, with stops at designated viewpoints and waterfalls where road conditions allow. Continue through Chungthang before reaching Lachung later in the day. Check in at the hotel or lodge and enjoy dinner. Overnight stay in Lachung.
Day 03 Yumthang Valley excursion and return to Lachung

After breakfast, travel to Yumthang Valley, famous for its dramatic mountain scenery and seasonal alpine flowers. The landscape changes throughout the year, with flowering meadows during the warmer months and the possibility of snow in colder periods. An optional excursion to Zero Point may be arranged subject to permit approval and local conditions. Return to Lachung for dinner and the second overnight stay.
Day 04 Lachung to Gangtok and overnight stay

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Gangtok. The drive follows mountain roads through North Sikkim and may include short stops where permitted and time allows. Road conditions and local restrictions can affect the journey time. On arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel and relax after the long drive. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 05 Gangtok to Bagdogra or NJP for departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey. The transfer takes several hours depending on traffic and road conditions, so flight and train timings should be planned accordingly. The tour ends on arrival at the airport or railway station.
