Spend three nights exploring Gangtok and its Himalayan surroundings before travelling to Kalimpong for a peaceful final night. This short holiday combines Sikkimese culture mountain scenery and the relaxed charm of a historic hill town.

Day 01 Arrival at Bagdogra or NJP and transfer to Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and meet our representative for the drive to Gangtok. The route follows the Teesta River through the Himalayan foothills. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax after the journey. If time permits, take an evening stroll along MG Marg and explore its shops, cafes and restaurants.
Day 02 Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir excursion

After an early breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Surrounded by steep mountain slopes, Tsomgo Lake is one of the most popular attractions near Gangtok. The required permits will be arranged by us. Nathula Pass may be added as an optional visit, subject to permit availability, weather and local operating conditions. Return to Gangtok by evening.

Day 03 Gangtok local sightseeing and monastery visits

After breakfast, explore Gangtok and its surrounding attractions. Visit Enchey Monastery and the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology to learn about the region's Buddhist heritage. Continue to suitable local viewpoints for mountain scenery, depending on visibility and road conditions. Later, enjoy free time around MG Marg for shopping and local food before returning to the hotel.
Day 04 Gangtok to Kalimpong and local sightseeing

After breakfast, check out and drive to Kalimpong. The journey passes through the Teesta Valley and takes several hours depending on traffic and road conditions. On arrival, visit Deolo Hill for wide views of the surrounding hills and valleys if the weather is clear. Continue to the local market or a nearby monastery depending on the available time. Check in at the hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening in Kalimpong.
Day 05 Kalimpong to Bagdogra or NJP for departure

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. If your departure schedule allows, visit Durpin Hill or Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery before leaving Kalimpong. The final sightseeing stop will depend on available time and road conditions. Continue to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
